
His laughter rings in my ears, the last thing I hear as everything fades to black.
I open my eyes to see blank white walls, and I hear the sound of footsteps coming my way. My pulse quickens as I whip my head around, only to see the man sneering at me. The air is thick with the stench of cigarettes and sweat, a suffocating combination that makes my stomach churn. I try to move my arms, but the rough fibers of the rope dig into my skin, pinning them to the back of the chair. Panic rises, but I force myself to stay calm. I will not give him the satisfaction of seeing my fear.
