I enter the mansion and yawn, my tiredness overcoming me. Today had been a long, exhausting day filled with endless conversations, unexpected challenges, and moments that had drained me more than I cared to admit. My feet ache, my mind is sluggish, and my body screams for rest. The weight of the day settles on my shoulders as I step inside, my fingers instinctively rubbing at my temples to ease the dull ache forming there.
I turn back to look at Xavier, who had been by my side through it all, unwavering and composed. There’s something reassuring about his presence, something steady and reliable, but I push the thought away before it can settle too deeply in my mind.
